Book Binding and Finishing
The function of your book is what determines the binding technique best suited for getting the best out come.
Hard Cover / Case binding
Description: Book is cased in with a hard cover keeping your text secure.
Used for: Can be used for almost any size book to create a very high quality finish.
Screw Bound/ Interscrew covers
Description: Bound with small rivets that can be removed if necessary
Used for: Can be used for menus, photo albums , etc.
Centre Sewn
Description: Stitched with thread along the spine. Mostly used for books that don’t have alot of pages.
With an array of paper and thread, options are limitless.
Wiro / Spiral binding
Description: Bound with one long continuous wire that loops through the holes punched in the left side of your book.
Mostly used for books that need to be laid out flat and easy to use or where there are too many pages for center sewn books.
** NOTE** we only make the covers (mounting of material to the boards). We can however source getting the binding for you if you wish.
PUR Binding / Soft cover
Description: Your soft cover gets glued to the spine and front and back pages with a hot melt glue.
Used for: soft back books such as novels and text books
Repairs and other
We repair old and used books to the best we can. Please note that we will have to inspect the book first to see if we can repair it.
